Hi, I'm Jonathan, a.k.a Jo'
I started out making album covers, t-shirts, and visuals for my friends' Myspace pages before studying design to make it my job. It's been over 10 years now, between agencies, startups, and freelance work. Time flies when you like the work.
What keeps me interested in this job is the range it demands. Some days I'm deep in an information architecture problem, other days it's a pixel-level interaction detail. On the right project, that range goes past typical design work: pushing a strategy forward, or digging into the data behind a decision. Sometimes it means owning a feature end to end, syncing with everyone who has a stake in it.
I don't do any of that alone. Other people question the scope I set, catch mistakes I missed, test paths I didn't think to. It's better that way.
Outside of work, I like spending time with family, going to a concert or an exhibition, discovering new spots in Montreal with friends, or photographing street stickers I come across on my walks and travels.
